Companion Care · Michigan

Helping seniors stay
connected and independent.

I provide personal, non-medical companionship for seniors — the kind of consistent, caring presence that makes a real difference in everyday life. Whether it's an outing, an errand, or just good conversation, I show up.

Flexible hours, no minimums
Family updates after every visit

Not an agency.
A friend who shows up.

When you work with me, you get one person — not a rotation of strangers. I take the time to learn what matters to your loved one: their stories, their routines, what makes them laugh. That continuity is the whole point.

I'm not a medical provider. What I offer is something different, and for many seniors just as essential: warm, reliable human presence. Someone to share a meal with, take a walk with, or simply sit with on a hard day.

"She didn't just care for my father. She became someone he looked forward to seeing. In his final months, that mattered more than almost anything else we could have given him."
— Adult daughter of a client

The four-legged
part of the team.

Daisy is my cream-colored golden retriever, and she has a temperament that seems made for this work. I've seen the way a calm, gentle dog changes the energy in a room — a warmth and ease that's hard to explain but impossible to miss.

She joins me on visits where she's a good fit. We always talk about it first — allergies, preferences, the setting. Your loved one comes first.

This work isn't
a job to me.
It's personal.

I spent years working alongside medical case managers — I know how the healthcare system works, and I know how to communicate with the professionals in your loved one's life.

I also moved in with my own parents to care for them through their final years. Not as a professional. As their daughter. That experience changed how I understand what families go through — and what they need.

Is this the
right fit?

Home health aides and nurses provide licensed medical care — medication management, wound care, physical therapy. I don't do any of that. What I offer is something different, and for many seniors just as important: consistent, warm human presence. Conversation, outings, companionship, errand help. Many families find their loved one's medical needs are well covered, but their social and emotional needs aren't. That's where I come in.
It depends entirely on the person. Some visits are a walk with Daisy and coffee afterward. Some are driving to a doctor's appointment and staying for the whole thing. Some are sitting together watching a favorite show, or helping set up a video call with grandkids. There's no script — the visit takes its shape from what your loved one needs that day.
No minimums and no long-term contracts. Some families start with a few visits to get a feel for things. Others jump into a regular weekly schedule. A monthly retainer option is available if you want priority scheduling and a predictable cost — but it's never required.
Always. After each visit, I send a brief written update — how your loved one seemed, what we did, anything you should know about. If something concerns me, I reach out directly rather than waiting. Keeping families informed is a core part of how I work, not an afterthought.
Not automatically. We'll talk about your loved one's preferences, any allergies, and the setting before Daisy joins. She's a wonderful addition for most people — but this is always about what's best for your person. She comes along only when it's the right call.
Rates range from $30–$55/hour depending on the type of support. Retainer packages are available for ongoing arrangements. I always discuss pricing openly before any commitment — no surprises. See the full services and pricing page.

Let's talk for
20 minutes.

No pressure, no pitch. A first call is just a conversation — you tell me about your family's situation, ask whatever's on your mind, and we figure out together whether I'm the right fit.
